Mildred Glatz, 75, of the St. Luke’s Miners Geriatric Center formerly of Coaldale passed away peacefully Friday morning at St. Luke’s Miners Hospital, Coaldale. 

Mildred was born in Spangler, PA on January 1, 1939.  She was the daughter of the late Porter and Sarah (Saggi) Lord.

She was the wife of the Ralston C. Glatz.  They were married on April 15, 1961.

She was of the Christian faith.

Mildred spent all of her life as a homemaker raising her 3 daughters.


She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brother and 4 sisters.

She is survived by; spouse Ralston C. Glatz, Lansford; daughter Theresa wife of Barry Veron, Lansford; daughter Sonya Glatz wife of G. Abel Anderson, Emmaus; daughter Thelma wife of Michael Urban, Lake Wynonah; many nieces and nephews.

Mildred is also survived by her 8 grandchildren;  Genavie Veron, Barry Veron, Jr., Victoria Veron, Stephanie Anderson,  Sophia Anderson, Leif Anderson, Sean Urban and Violet Urban.

Services and interment will be announced at a later date at the family’s convenience.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to be made to United Methodist Home for Children, Inc., 5120 Simpson Ferry Rd, Mechanicsburg PA 17050 or Presbyterian Children’s Village, 452 S. Roberts RD,  Rosemont PA 19010.
