Donna J. Hafner

Donna J. (Lafferty) Hafner, 70, of Lansford passed away Thursday evening at St. Luke’s Hospital-Bethlehem. 

Donna was born in Bethlehem on February 7, 1948.  

She was the daughter of the late Carmella (Mecca) and Francis Lafferty.  

Donna graduated from Liberty High School in 1966.

Donna was the wife of Leonard Hafner. They were married for 37 years. 

She was of the Baptist faith, and was a member of Grace Community Church, Lansford. 

Donna worked most of her career as a personal care aide in private homes.  She also worked for Gracedale Nursing Home as a nurse’s aide. 

She enjoyed crocheting, collecting trinkets, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren at the lake. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Ann Barnett. 

In addition to her husband she is survived by; daughter Audra Mills wife of Randall, Bath PA; daughter Christina Buchannon, Pigeon Forge TN; brother Francis Lafferty, The Villages FL; grandson Wade Van Buskirk and his significant other Alysha Cole; grandson Glenn Miller and his wife Nicole; grandson Kyle Miller; grandson Jason Mills; granddaughter Jonelle Mills. 

Also surviving are her great grandchildren Hadley, Alora, Ashton, and an expected baby boy. She will be greatly missed by her beloved dog Daisy. 

A funeral service will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday, May 23rd, at Grace Community Church, 18 W. Ridge ST, Lansford PA.  Family and friends are invited to call at the church from 9-10:30 AM Wednesday. Interment will be at the family’s convenience. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Donna’s memory to the Lansford Food Pantry / Trinity Lutheran Church, PO Box 58, Lansford PA 18232.
