Kirk did my hair for so many years. My funniest memory was the night he and Margaret, in their shop in Emmaus, tried to change my hair color from black to ash blonde. It took hours and hours, and at two in the morning, Kirk was begging to go home, not stay to cut my new colored hair. The police kept driving by, wondering why a hair salon was open in t he middle of the night. God bless his soul.

We have been clients of Kirks since he became hair stylist. I guess you could say, we grew up together. He was more than our stylist. He was a friend.
You will be missed Kirk. All our love and prayers for you.
And our heart felt sympathy for your loved ones.

We were so sad to hear about the passing of Kirk. We have had our hair done by Kirk for over 30 years. We really enjoyed our talks on all subjects when getting our hair done. We really valued Kirk's friendship. He will be missed. Love, Ron and Terry Mathey

Dear Terry and Family,
It has taken me a week to be able to write this. I was just with Kirk the week before. We had a lot of laughs as he did my hair. As most people agree, he was not only my hair stylist for many, many years, he was my friend, my buddy.
I use to go to John Hinkle & Co with my mom, when I was in my teens. I have so many wonderful memories of him there, working with Margaret, KirMar, Tilghman St, Attractions. I remember it was Kirk,Margaret and George, and I would go to KirMar on a Thursday night. We had wine, and telling jokes and stories till late hours, and my hair always looked great. I also remember Halloween at KirMar, you guys did it up right. You both made it so much fun then. Kirk was always so kind. I would kiss him when I came in and kiss him goodbye, its just how we were. I would always tell him, "Love Ya Kirk." He would reply, "Love you too, Kath"
I swear it was like we were all family.
I was so happy Dr. Hallock was able to fix his finger. He was doing so good, then, well then, I don't know. I am so sad Kirk, that you will not be here to laugh with, joke around with, and most of all your kind presence will be so missed by myself and my mom. My mom, (Jean McGeehan)will miss you so much. She said you always took your time with her hair, and understood how to work with fine hair. She loved you too.
I think I can honestly say that to know you, was to love you. You were so kind. I think the song, "Only he Good Die young" pertains to you. You were too young to leave us Kirk.
RIP KIRK, my buddy, my hairstylist, most of all my friend.
Terry, I am so sorry for your loss. You will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

I found it difficult to say goodbye to Kirk when we moved out of state last year. I never expected a final goodbye. He was our stylist and friend for many years. After the first appointment with Kirk, you knew you were in good hands. A kind, sweet, generous, talented, and funny man doesn’t begin to describe Kirk. The sudden loss for Terry, Kirk’s family and friends is tragic. We are so saddened and deeply sorry. Kirk will live on in our memories having been someone so loved. Please accept our condolences as we keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

In Friendship and Sorrow,
Mary Jane and Marty Jacoby

Dear Terry and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I am still in shock. I was just with Kirk the week before. He did my hair and we had great conversation, and as always lots of laughs. Thats how our friendship has been for about 40 years. Seriously, I met Kirk when my mom would go to John Hinkle, I think I was about 13 years old. Thats when I started getting my hair done. back then, I always had fun. i have the best memories of Kirk at KirMar classics. I would always go on a Thursday night. We would have wine while chatting, and laughing, and Kirk would color my hair.
I hold all the memories of Kirk close to my heart. He was one of the kindest people I ever met. I, actually my mom too,( Jean) really miss him.
I have been thinking of you Terry, and praying all your amazing memories, and us sharing our great memories, gets you thru this difficult time.
Sending Hugs, Kathy Grovatt and Jean McGeehan

What a truly wonderful person. Got to know him taking my dear mother to him weekly for her hair appointments. She adored him and always enjoyed her visits with him while he styled her hair (and by the way, apparently, he was the only one who could style her hair right!). He was so accommodating to her when she was physically at her worst, but he never made her feel like he was doing anything out of his way to make her feel uncomfortable. Rest In Peace Kirk and know you will be missed so much but not forgotten. Fondly
