Ann C. Winkler

Ann C. (Garrity) Winkler, 63 of Coaldale passed away Friday morning at home.

Ann was born in Philadelphia on June 23, 1956.  

She was the daughter of the late Catherine (Bonner) and William Garrity. 

Ann was the wife of Charles “Charlie” Winkler.    

She was a graduate of Marian High School, Class of 1975.  She also attended Penn State where she studied home economics. 

Ann was a devout Catholic.  She faithfully watched EWTN daily. 

Ann worked as a baker for General Mills /PET prior to her retirement.

She loved her 2 cats, Buddy & Sweetie.

In addition to her husband Ann is survived by; sister Mary Slaby wife of John, State College; aunt Margaret Bonner, State College; niece Melissa Runz wife of Eric, State College; nephew John Garrett Slaby, Philadelphia; cousin Rosemary Proctor wife of Dave, Williamsport; cousin Anne Koliboski wife of Doug, West Chester OH. 

In lieu of flowers, the family would like any contributions in Ann's memory to Carbon County Friends of Animals, 77 W. 13th St, Jim Thorpe PA 18229. 

A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Joseph Parish of the Panther Valley, Summit Hill with Fr. Allen Hoffa officiating. Internment will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery, White Bear.
