Jill O’Brien

Jill Lynn O’Brien, 57, of Lansford passed away Saturday evening at home with her family by her side.

She was born on October 6, 1964, in Norwich, CT and was the daughter of Herb Chappell and the late Edith (Nelkin) Hicks.

Jill was of the Christian faith and was a member of Grace Community Church, Lansford.

She was the husband of James “Jim” O’Brien. 

Jill was a homemaker who was devoted to raising her 4 daughters. 

She enjoyed playing with her grandchildren, attending carnivals and fairs, oxen pulls, doing crossword puzzles and word searches, and shopping at Walmart.

Jill is preceded in death by her mother. 

In addition to her husband Jim, Jill is survived by; father Herb Chappell husband of Carol, CT; stepfather Bill Hicks, VA; sister Beverly Chappell-Moulton, MA; sister Cindy Chappell, NC; brother Jason Hicks, Old Forge; sister Monica Arroyo, VA; brother H.G. Chappell, CT; daughter Crystal Reason, Lansford; daughter Melissa O’Brien, Lansford; daughter Ashley O’Brien, Lansford; daughter Amanda O’Brien, Lansford; grandchildren Patience Reason, Bonnie Reason, Xavier Navarre, Valerie Navarre, Jayden Canaan, Layla Sterling; great granddaughter Esme Reason.

She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and by many friends of the Lansford community.

A viewing for family and friends will be held Wednesday, October 13th from 5-6 PM at the funeral home.  Services will be held at 6pm at the funeral home.
