Nancy Lemaire

Nancy (Nemecek) Lemaire, 72, of Albrightsville, passed away Thursday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown. 

Nancy was born on December 31, 1948 to the late Anna (Sedlock) and Frank “Bugzie” Nemecek Sr.  She is survived by her husband of 23 years, William F Lemaire; her daughter Amy Knepper Braciszewski, granddaughter, Alyanna ; Son in Law, Charles of Berlin, Maryland; and her brother Frank Nemecek Jr. of Mechanicsburg.  

Nancy grew up on Bugzie’s Mountain, Summit Hill and is a graduate of Panther Valley High School class of 1966. She began her career as a Secretary at Carbon County Vocational School and later retired after 30 years of working at Split Rock Resort in Lake Harmony. 

Nancy loved picking hard shells, watching the action at her milkweed patch and continuing her Aunt’s Rooster collection.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, Christmas and her end of summer adventures with her granddaughter.  She will be dearly missed.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 13th at St. John Slovak Lutheran Cemetery, Summit Hill at 11:00 AM with Pastor Marjorie Keiter officiating. Family and friends may gather at the cemetery from 10-11:00 AM.   Guests our asked to follow physical distancing and mitigation measures due to Covid-19.
