Roy J. Heintzelman

Roy J. Heintzelman, 66, of Coaldale passed away Sunday afternoon at St. Luke’s Hospital-Miners Campus.

He was born on May 13, 1954 in Coaldale. He was the son of the late Constance (Basiago) and Roy C. Heintzelman.

He was of the Catholic faith.

Roy was the longtime companion of Joann Lowmaster.  They have been together since February 14, 2006. 

He was a graduate of Marian Catholic High School, Class of 1972. 

Roy last worked as a security guard for Weatherly Castings. 

He loved to work with computers. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers John P. Heintzelman and Walter Heintzelman.

In addition to his companion, Roy is survived by; brother Robert “Bobby” Heintzelman, Lansford; sister Mary Kruzik wife of Steve, Jim Thorpe; sister Linda Balliet wife of Phillip, Franklin Twp.; son Thomas Heintzelman companion of Brenda McCoy, Jim Thorpe; son Dale Heintzelman husband of Melissa, Elysburg; “stepdaughter” Christine Forrest, Summit Hill; sister in law Christine Heintzelman, Summit Hill. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Services and internment are private at the family’s request. In order to defray funeral costs donations can be made to the funeral home.
